Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Med Surg) | Muskegon, MI | 13 Weeks Contract

  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3×12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Weekly Pay:$2000 to $2200
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and post-surgical conditions
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs, pain levels, and overall patient status
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor patient progress and promptly communicate significant changes to physicians and the healthcare team
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, surgeries, and discharge planning
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, recovery expectations, and home care instructions
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting positive patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact RN License (if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of adult medical-surgical nursing practices
  • Excellent assessment, communication, clinical judgment, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
  • Ability to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
