Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical/Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years RN Experience, Minimum 2 Years Med/Surg Experience License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district Certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS Required, CPI Required (Must be Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI With Advanced Physical Skills Training course) Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, BSN Highly Desired Description: Fulfills the needs of the patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner. Applies knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan necessary to provide age-appropriate care. Demonstrates the ability to obtain information and interpret it in terms of the patients' needs. Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients. Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation. Completes admission assessments in the timeframe established according to policy and procedures.
