The role requires caring for adult and geriatric patients, with occasional pediatric cases. Key responsibilities include providing quality patient care and performing assessments. The unit consists of 18 beds, with a patient ratio of 1 nurse to 5 patients. Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, hip fractures, altered mental status, falls, UTIs, and abdominal pain. The ideal candidate is friendly, compassionate, and works well with others. Required education is either an ADN or BSN. The dress code requires scrubs, and casual wear is not permitted. The position involves rotating weekends. No call requirements are expected for this role. The medical record system used is Meditech. This role is a replacement for permanent staff.
