It operates as a Level III Trauma Center. All clinical staff must undergo state-specific checks prior to assignment. The unit has a designated area for orthopedic, postoperative, and medical-surgical care. The ratio of patients to nurses is typically between 4-6 to 1. The electronic health record system in use is Meditech. The patient population includes geriatrics, adults, and adolescents aged 13 and older. Common diagnoses and treatments include postoperative joint care, bariatric surgery recovery, gastrointestinal postoperative care, and trauma patient management.
