**Exciting RN Med Surg Opportunity - Nights** **Job Description:** - **Location:** 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128 - **Unit:** 5 West Med Surg - **Assignment Length:** 13 weeks - **Openings Available:** 2 **Position Details:** - **Role:** Registered Nurse (RN) - **Specialty:** Medical Surgical (Med Surg) - **Shift:** Nights, 1900-0730 - **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 or 48 (specify on submission form) - **Weekend Requirements:** As required by the facility (every other weekend) - **Call Requirements:** None **Qualifications:** - **Required Licensure:** Current RN License valid in Missouri - **Required Certifications:** BLS from AHA - **Preferred Certifications:** ACLS from AHA - **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year in Med Surg (inpatient only) **Patient Care Responsibilities:** - Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care. - Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate care effectiveness. - Coordinate with ancillary departments to enhance patient care and comfort. - Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information. **Unit Information:** - **Number of Beds:** 30 - **Patient Ratios:** 1:6-7 (not guaranteed) - **Typical Patients:** - Gastrointestinal (GI) - Genitourinary (GU) - Wound Care - Acute Withdrawal - Altered Mental Status - Dialysis/End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) - Minor Surgical cases **Working Conditions:** - Stand and walk most of the time on duty. - Significant bending, twisting, lifting, and turning of patients (assistance available). - High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. - Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasional kneeling and crawling. **Dress Code:** - Scrub Color: Black - Unacceptable Attire: Anything other than black scrubs; leggings **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
