Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,034 per week in Lexington, KY

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year required License: Compact or state license required at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - 1 year experience in medical surgical nursing - Ability to float to telemetry units - Interpretation of dysrhythmias skills Description: This position is for a registered nurse on a general medical surgical floor. The nurse will also be required to float to telemetry units. ACLS and BLS certifications are required. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required. Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory. Local travelers within a specific distance are not eligible for this position. Candidates will be expected to work during three out of five winter holidays. Daily patient census is 23, with a patient ratio of 5. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Patient care includes adults and geriatric populations. The unit provides care for patients awaiting facility placement. Candidates must be skilled in the interpretation of dysrhythmias due to floating requirements. Candidates will also undergo various compliance training and exams related to patient care.
