Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,040 per week in Wilmington, NC

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical-Surgical Neuro – North Carolina

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, day shifts. Patient ratios of 1:5-6. Weekend requirement of 12-16 shifts per contract with flexibility to discuss preferences. Float requirements apply within facility.

Highlights:

• Specializing in neurosurgical procedures and neurology diagnoses on a 36-bed medical-surgical unit
• Contract length flexible between 13-26 weeks based on candidate availability
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Two orientation shifts on unit following hospital-based orientation
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated depending on individual needs - discuss during submission

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• BCLS certification required; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications preferred
• Experience with telemetry, IV management, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
• Epic charting system experience strongly preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Previous charge experience and neuro experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float within facility and work storm team/hurricane team assignments during catastrophic events
