Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele
Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with conditions such as stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed.
Perform NIH assessments, manage chest tubes, PIV starts, trach care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
Coordinate medication gtt management including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF.
Ensure accurate documentation using Epic EMR system.
Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
Maintain flexibility to float within the region per facility needs.
Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele
18 months of Med/Tele experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Proficient in general Med/Tele skills including stroke experience
