Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,049 per week in Renton, WA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: MedSurg Float Duration: 18 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - At least 2 years of experience in MedSurg nursing. - Ability to recognize lethal rhythms and respond appropriately, although not required to read strips. Description: The unit consists of 38 beds, expanding to a maximum of 42 with semi-private rooms. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4-5 during both day and night shifts. Common diagnoses include general surgery patients, appendectomies, fractures, GI issues, gynecological procedures, and vascular patients. Nurse aides are available, with a staffing ratio of 1:8-15 depending on availability. Patient Care Assistants are trained to perform phlebotomy. The unit has tele monitoring with monitor techs. Travelers may be required to float to other surgical or MedSurg units. There is a rare need for team nursing in high-demand situations. Patients requiring MedSurg care may also be housed in the Emergency Department. The unit adheres to a dress code of royal blue scrubs. Every other weekend is required for coverage. There is no holiday or call requirement. Shifts will be 1900-0730. The charting system used is EPIC. A cancellation policy exists allowing for one shift cancellation per two-week period. No experience with titrating drips is necessary.
