We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical-Surgical unit in an acute care hospital setting located in Lawton, Oklahoma. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a diverse range of medical and surgical conditions, including those requiring orthopedic and neurological care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
Document patient observations, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
Manage and prioritize patient assignments effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
Experience caring for orthopedic and neurological patient populations.
