Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
BSN preferred.
2+ years related work experience preferred.
Description:
Clinical Profile Review and the manager will call for the interview.
Traveling staff will be required to float throughout the designated region as needed.
Unit comprised of 28 beds.
Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4-5.
Common diagnoses include general medical patients such as sepsis, COPD, bowel obstructions, and CHF.
RNs are required to titrate insulin and heparin drips.
There are no telemonitor techs on this unit.
Telemonitoring is managed from a centralized location.
RNs are expected to read their own strips.
Charge nurses do not take on a patient assignment.
Nurse aids are present in the unit, with a ratio of 1 CNA to 10-14 patients.
RT equipment available includes CPAP and established BiPAPs only.
Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
When staff is not needed, they may be floated to other areas in need of support.
Professional scrubs are required.
Unit-specific orientation is provided.
Cancellation policy allows for cancellation of shifts under certain conditions.
Charting is done using the designated system.
