Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Zanesville, Ohio. This role primarily supports a comprehensive Medical Unit (3 West) but requires flexibility to float to various specialized Medical-Surgical units, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation.
The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care to a diverse adult population, including those requiring telemetry monitoring. This position demands strong clinical acumen, adaptability, and a proven ability to thrive in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the 3 West Comprehensive Medical Unit.
- Float to and provide care on other Medical-Surgical units (e.g., Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation) as needed.
- Monitor, assess, and interpret telemetry rhythms accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely within the Epic EMR system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of current and recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown units.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry rhythms, subject to competency testing.
- Current and proven proficiency with Epic EMR system; no refresher training or 1:1 support will be provided.

Shift Details

- Call Requirements: No call requirement.
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required.
- Assignment: 13-week contract, starting August 17, 2026.
Licensing Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
