Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

Provide care for patients with hip, knee, shoulder, bariatric, and spinal surgeries
Administer cardiac and insulin drips, manage chest tubes and wound vacs
Monitor telemetry and provide complex clinical assessments
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and oversee discharge planning
Engage in patient education, emphasizing renal and fluid management
Utilize EMR: EPIC and operate unit-specific equipment, including Pyxis and Alaris

Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

BLS required
Basic Cardiac Rhythm (BCR) and EKG competency required
Minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
ACLS preferred
National certification in Medical-Surgical or Nephrology nursing preferred, but not required
