Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Elective spine surgery experience Trauma experience preferred Experience with lumbar drains and pain management Ability to float between spine units Description: This is a Medical Surgical RN position in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will care for patients undergoing elective spine surgery and some traumatic spine issues. Patient mobility is required three times a day. The nurse will manage pain and perform procedures such as lumbar drains and wound care. The patient ratio is approximately 1:3.5. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is essential. Candidates must have skills in IV management, blood product administration, and central line care. Weekend shifts are required every other week.
