Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: RN Telemetry I Specialty: RN Telemetry I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Must be willing to float to multiple units - Telemetry monitoring experience including measuring intervals and interpreting strips - Experience with cardiac drips Description: The Float Pool RN will be responsible for cardiac monitoring, managing cardiac drips, and reading telemetries. The role involves floating throughout the hospital to all relevant Med/Surg Tele areas. Experience in acute care hospital settings is required. Telemetry monitoring must include assessing intervals and interpreting tele strips every four hours. Experience with TR Band is necessary. Clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during days/evenings and up to 6:1 at night. The patient population includes individuals in the emergency department and non-vented patients in the ICU. Specific rotation requirements involve rotating between day/evening shifts and nights. The electronic medical record (EMR) system used is EPIC.
