Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,102 per week in Saint Louis, MO

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Pending License accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Will need to pass an EKG exam. Experience with phlebotomy, teamwork, time management, and prioritization. Experience with accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, heparin, interpretation of dysrhythmias, patient care, and peripheral line management. Description: Looking for a Registered Nurse with experience in medical surgical specialties. The position involves caring for post-operative medical surgical patients. Getting patients up and moving is a priority, along with providing CHG baths. Experience with bariatrics, tracheostomy, end oncology, minimally invasive surgery, plastics, orthopedics, and ophthalmology is preferred. The nurse will work with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and phlebotomy. The nurse will also perform and read EKGs when needed. The unit has a focus on providing effective patient care while ensuring safety and efficiency. Knowledge of electronic charting systems is required. Nurses will float within their service line to meet facility needs. Weekend shifts will be required every other week. No more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per contract. The ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks is essential.
