Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,102 per week in Saint Louis, MO

Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a medical surgical unit. The nurse will care for geriatric trauma patients and those with acute care surgery needs. The role requires knowledge in blood product administration, IV management, and wound care. The nurse will manage patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and orthopedic trauma. Experience with chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula is necessary. Tasks will include phlebotomy, starting IVs, and managing PCA. The nurse will navigate isolation precautions and perform oral suctioning. Familiarity with interpreting dysrhythmias and managing insulin is required. The position involves floating within the service line as needed. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services.
