Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry – Tennessee
Start Date: ASAP (orientations held every Monday)
Location: Jackson, Tennessee
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36-hour orientation; 4-5 patient ratio during days, nights, and weekends; 34 average daily census on 36-bed unit
Highlights:
- Med Surg/Telemetry unit specializing in Oncology/Hematology patient population
- Epic EMR system; documented experience within the last 18 months required; Epic competency exam must be passed
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Lift Teams
- Must be willing to float to other Med Surg/Tele units as needed
- One pre-approved time off period available
- Travel experience preferred; local candidates accepted
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Tennessee license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; travel experience preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience within the last 18 months must be clearly documented; competency exam required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills including telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line care, chemotherapy monitoring, IV protocols, wound care, and management of complex medical-surgical patients
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Two supervisory references required at time of submission
