Job Title: RN Med/Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN acute care experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Description: Travel RN opportunity in a Medical-Surgical unit. The unit has a total of 29 beds, with the capability to overflow to accommodate additional patients. The staffing model includes a charge nurse, 8 RNs, and support staff during the day shift. Patient ratio is 5:1. Common patient population includes post-operative surgical patients and cardiac drip management. Typical medications include amiodarone, diltiazem, and heparin drips. Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of current acute care experience. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
