Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,146 per week in Cedar Rapids, IA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Float/Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 36 months progressive care, stepdown or medical surgical experience required License: Active Iowa or compact multistate license required Certifications: - ACLS; Advanced Cardiac Life Support required - BLS; Basic Life Support required Must-Have: - Experience administering nitroglycerin, heparin, and amiodarone including titrates required - EPIC EMR experience required Description: Looking for a Registered Nurse to float between Med Surg and Stepdown units. Position is for night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Holiday rotation is required. Nurses must understand they will be required to work 1-2 of the upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed. Patient ratios are 1:4/5 during days/evenings and 1:6 at night. Candidates should have experience with all types of patients in the medical-surgical setting. Critical care experience is nice to have, while neurology and oncology care experience are preferred. The successful candidate will need to participate in a clinical interview pre-screening. A skills checklist specific to progressive care, stepdown, or medical surgical nursing is required. References from charge nurses, supervisors, or nurse managers from within the last 24 months are preferred. Candidates must hold an active Iowa or compact multistate nursing license and provide documentation.
