License: Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: - 24 months of current Medical Surgical experience required - Post-operative surgical experience in orthopedic and spine surgery required - Heparin experience required - Experience with Electronic Health Records, specifically EPIC required Description: This nursing position involves providing care for orthopedic and medical-surgical patients. The nurse will be responsible for managing medical drips such as heparin. Nurses will work in a 23-bed setting with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. Candidates must be willing to float across various campuses as required. Schedules include a holiday rotation and every other weekend commitment. Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the facility. Nurses are expected to work during summer holidays unless the unit is closed.
