Nurses will care for general medical patients with a variety of diagnoses. These may include respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, musculoskeletal conditions, and more. Nurses will also manage patients undergoing dialysis, as well as those with infections such as sepsis. The unit has a staffing ratio of 1:6. Visible tattoos are permitted if they are appropriate for a professional setting. Facial and ear piercings are acceptable if they do not interfere with job duties.
