Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 80 Jesse Hill Jr Dr SE, Atlanta, GA 30303
Schedule: Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical RN experience required.
- Level I Trauma Center or mid-to-large hospital experience required.
- BLS (AHA) certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Must have a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and excellent time management.
Unit Details:
- 30-bed dedicated education unit.
- Travel nurses will not be responsible for educating students; responsibilities are limited to direct patient care.
- Patient population consists of mixed Medical/Surgical patients.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5–6:1.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical/Surgical patients.
- Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and follow established clinical protocols.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention
