Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years experience required License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Charting system experience required Charting system name: Epic Description: Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical surgical or oncology setting required. Ability to manage patient care effectively for a diverse population. Skilled in accessing and managing ports. Experience with acute tumor lysis syndrome and administration of chemotherapy. Proficient in administering blood products and coagulation factors. Knowledge of patient and family education and support techniques. Demonstrated ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values. Experience with intravenous hydration and medication administration. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 6:1. Understanding of infection control practices and isolation precautions. Ability to perform wound care and tracheostomy management. Capable of managing central lines and PICC line care. Familiarity with care coordination and interdisciplinary support services. Experience in providing comfort care and management of chronic conditions. Ability to educate patients about disease processes and treatment options. Willingness to cover weekends as needed based on coverage needs. Knowledge of oncology patient diagnoses such as leukemia, lymphoma, and various solid tumors. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
