Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,182 per week in Lincoln, NE

Job Title: Med Surg RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Candidates must pass an exam during orientation. A score of 90% is required to pass. Candidates must provide a valid driver's license for verification. Candidates must not be employed part-time or full-time with any associated facilities. Description: The Med Surg unit consists of 42 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6. Staff will experience a 1:6 ratio at least once a week. Common diagnoses include medical, surgical, and orthopedic cases. A charge nurse is present on each shift and takes an assignment. There are no titratable drips, except for Heparin. Respiratory Therapy is available 24 hours on the floor. Telemetry monitors are available on the floor, with a centralized monitoring station. Patient care technicians are present with a ratio of 1:10-12. Shifts operate from 0630-1900 and 1830-0700. Weekend and holiday requirements are as needed. No call or standby requirements are present. Floating to PCU or Burn units may be required. Scrub color is navy blue. Additional unit-specific orientation consists of 2-12 hour shifts. RTO must be provided upfront, with limited additional time off approved. The organization reserves the right to cancel shifts as necessary. The charting system is EPIC.
