Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,182 per week in Topeka, KS

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: 1 year of experience in medical surgical nursing. Current BLS certification in hand at the time of application. Ability to float to like units as needed based on facility needs. Description: Nursing position available on a medical surgical unit. This role requires working night shifts. The schedule consists of 4 shifts per week. The patient ratio is 1:5. Float requirements are mandatory. Weekend shifts are included, with 4 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. The daily census on the unit is approximately 20-25 patients. Patient age group includes adults. Common patient diagnoses include post-surgical cases in various specialties. Nursing responsibilities include managing complex patient needs. Skills in accessing and managing ports, oxygen administration, and wound care are necessary. Experience with telemetry monitoring is preferred. Travelers will receive a brief orientation on the unit. All necessary competencies must be completed onsite during orientation.
