Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,184 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred. License: Compact license accepted, must be obtained prior to start. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred. Patient ratio experience: 6 patients per nurse. Description: Registered Nurses will provide care to adults and geriatric patients. The position requires managing patient loads effectively, with a ratio of 6 patients per nurse. Prior experience in a medical surgical setting is preferred. Responsibilities include accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and managing patients with various medical needs. Nurses will also be responsible for pre/post hemodialysis management, wound care, and telemetry monitoring. Additional duties include performing phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and patient education. The role requires adherence to isolation precautions and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams. Participation in floating to like units as needed based on facility needs is expected. Weekends are required. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit. Compliance with health and safety protocols is essential. Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning in a traveler role. All requests for time off must be listed at the time of submission.
