Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting, most recent experience within the past year. License: Client RN License & Primary Source Verification Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS (for specified locations only) Must-Have: Physical assessment Medication administration Wound care Infection control Description: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals. Evaluate medical information while providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients. Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed. Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, interpreting and recording measurements. Monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team. Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care. Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records. Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
