Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,194 per week in Omaha, NE

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: In Patient Rehab/MedSurg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must pass an exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%. Description: Unit Notes: Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any associated facilities. Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Driver's license is required and will be used to determine eligibility based on distance. Department: Inpatient Rehab Beds: 35 Ratios: Days: 1:5 / Nights: 1:6 Required certifications: BLS Common diagnoses/types of patients include: Adults and geriatrics, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Amputee, Brain Injury, critical illness, neurological diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's. RNs are not required to titrate drips. Common titratable or set rate drips include: Antibiotics, anticoagulation, antiplatelets. There is a Charge Nurse on each shift. Nurse aids or patient care technicians are available with a ratio of 1:10-15. Shifts include 0630-1900 and 1830-0700 with cyclic self-scheduling. Weekend requirement: Minimum every third weekend. Holiday requirement: Minimum of 2 holidays. There is no call or standby requirement. Floating requirements: Nurses may float to MedSurg. Unit-specific orientation includes classroom orientation and 2, 12-hour shifts on the unit. All requests for time off must be submitted upfront and additional requests will not be considered once submitted. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment.
