TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46845!

Job Title: RN Centralized Registry Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 22 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Indiana RN license or compact license required Certifications: BLS through AHA required Must-Have: Minimum 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience. Minimum 1 year of MedSurg experience at a large hospital with 450+ beds. Description: We seek an RN Centralized Registry Float for the Medical Surgical unit. Candidates must have experience in managing a diverse population of patients with varying diagnoses. Clinical responsibilities include caring for patients with chronic illnesses such as COPD, Diabetes, CHF, and end-stage renal disease. The role involves managing GI issues, infections, neurological issues, and mental health disorders. Nursing care includes conducting assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication. Candidates will utilize electronic health records and various medical equipment such as IV pumps, wound vacs, and telemetry monitoring. Nurses will float to other medical units as needed and work with patient ratios of 1:5-6. The facility requires BLS certification and relevant licensure to practice. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts with 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period. Dress code consists of Caribbean Blue scrubs. Candidates will undergo an orientation program that includes general hospital orientation and nursing-specific training. The charting system utilized is EPIC.
