Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Job Summary
Join our team as a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Aberdeen, Washington. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population within an acute care setting.
The successful candidate will be a vital part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, focusing on patient assessment, medication administration, and collaborative care planning to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Monitor patient conditions, accurately document observations, and report changes to the healthcare team.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care.
Participate in patient and family education regarding health conditions and discharge planning.
Float to other departments as needed, based on facility requirements and rotation schedules.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Meditech Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Skills & Competencies
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in medication administration and patient monitoring.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as a team player.
Adaptability and flexibility to float to various departments as required.

Shift Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Type: Nights (NOC)
Shift Duration: 12 hours
Days per Week: 3 days (36 hours per week)
Start Time: 6:45 PM
End Time: 7:15 AM
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend off
Call Requirements: Not specified.
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Additional: Opportunity to pick up extra shifts. Approved Request Time Off (RTO) must be added to the end of the contract.
Licensing Requirements
Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license OR a Multi-state/Compact RN license.
