Join our team as a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse in Aberdeen, Washington. This contract opportunity is ideal for an RN seeking to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
You will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population on a Medical Surgical unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
This role involves working night shifts, providing comprehensive nursing care, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative unit culture.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient conditions, document observations, and report changes to the healthcare team.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive team environment.
Float to other departments as needed, based on rotation and facility requirements.

Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system.

Shift Details
Shift Type: Nights (NOC)
Shift Duration: 12 hours
Days Per Week: 3 days per week
Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: September 14, 2026
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend off
Call Requirements: Not specified.
Additional: Ability to pick up extra shifts. Requests for Time Off (RTO) must be approved and will be added to the end of the contract.
Licensing Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State OR a multi-state compact license.
If utilizing a multi-state license, verification of the following is required:
Approved 6-hour suicide training.
Verification of demographics from Nursys.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
