Job Summary

You will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population on a Medical Surgical unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This role involves working night shifts, providing comprehensive nursing care, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative unit culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions, document observations, and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
• Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Float to other departments as needed, based on rotation and facility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Nights (NOC)

• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend off
• Call Requirements: Not specified.
• Additional: Ability to pick up extra shifts. Requests for Time Off (RTO) must be approved and will be added to the end of the contract.

Licensing Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State OR a multi-state compact license.
• If utilizing a multi-state license, verification of the following is required:
  • Approved 6-hour suicide training.
  • Verification of demographics from Nursys.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
