Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

Manage care for patients with acute or chronic diseases in a Level 1 Trauma setting
Perform trach care and chest tube management
Start and manage PIVs, glucommander, insulin and heparin drips
Conduct IV insertion, care, and central line management
Implement cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
Develop discharge planning and patient education

Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

Basic Life Support (BLS) required
BCR competency (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) with EKG competency exam required
ACLS preferred
Minimum of 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills
