Job Title: Registered Nurse - Float Pool Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Critical Care Duration: Full Time Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in MedSurg/Tele/Critical Care Units License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required. Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire. CPI certification within 90 days of hire. Must-Have: Must be comfortable floating to multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER). Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and critical care experience. Description: The Registered Nurse will work full-time night shifts. Rotations include every other weekend and holidays. The candidate must be cross-trained for multiple units including med/surg, ICU, and ER. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion is required. The candidate should be able to manage multiple priorities and enhance teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are necessary. Computer literacy is preferred, particularly with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records. The candidate must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care. This includes assessing data reflective of the patient's status and interpreting appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements. The individual must be able to provide care needed for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups. Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association is recommended within two years of hire. TNCC certification is also recommended within the same timeframe.
