Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,254 per week in West Burlington, IA

Job Title: RN MCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, CPI/MOAB Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - EPIC EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months Description: The Medical Care Unit serves patients who are less acute and may be awaiting placement to a long-term care facility. Patients may have a variety of medical diagnoses. The unit is shared with Inpatient Rehab, and nurses may need to float between the two units. Inpatient Rehab is designated for intense rehab services. Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effective interaction with patients, their significant others, and other health team members is essential while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. The unit provides high-quality care to the following patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, Telemetry, and Psychiatric Issues. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to arrive on-site within one hour. Estimated hours per week are 24. Floating is required, and weekend rotation is mandatory.
