Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,254 per week in West Burlington, IA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, CPI/MOAB Must-Have: EPIC EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months. Telemetry experience preferred. Description: The Medical Care Unit focuses on patients with less acute needs. These patients may be awaiting placement to a long-term care facility. The unit serves a variety of medical diagnoses. Nurses may need to float between the Medical Care Unit and the Inpatient Rehab. The Inpatient Rehab unit is designated for intensive rehabilitation services. Nurses will deliver care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Collaboration with other health team members is essential. Effective interaction with patients and their significant others is required. High standards of professional nursing must be maintained. Care is provided to various patient populations, including geriatrics, medical/surgical, adults, telemetry, and those with psychiatric issues. While travelers are not part of a regular call rotation, they may be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, they are expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Estimated hours per week are 36. Floating between units is required. Weekend rotation is part of the job requirement.
