We are comprised of a 57-bed acute care hospital and local medical offices. Residents enjoy various shopping and dining opportunities, museums, historic sites, and churches, all within a family-friendly atmosphere. The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. The Registered Nurse coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Essential functions include: Collecting relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Developing a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implementing the plan, coordinating care delivery, and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluating progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifying outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborating with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Providing learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly providing health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participating in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegating appropriately and coordinating the duties of healthcare team members. Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
