We are comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility, providing exceptional care in various medical and surgical services. Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets, farm-to-fork dining, and beautiful landscapes for outdoor activities. We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to perform professional functions in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The RN will coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care. This position is represented by a nursing organization. The RN must ensure the established standards of nursing practice are met while promoting cooperation among the healthcare team. The RN will assure that patients' personal needs are met and assist in reducing noise levels in the nursing unit. A commitment to co-workers is required, as teamwork is essential to meet all patients' needs. Confidentiality for patients, co-workers, and the facility must be maintained at all times. Documentation must be clear, concise, and legible. The RN will provide clear and concise reports as needed. All assigned quality monitoring tasks must be completed as directed. Infection control guidelines must be followed consistently. The RN will obtain and review patient history and physical assessments as per unit protocols for all age groups. Abnormal diagnostic data must be identified and reported to the appropriate personnel. Discharge planning information must be collected and provided to the relevant staff in a timely manner. The RN will recognize signs and symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and respond appropriately in emergencies. Knowledge and ability to effectively function in emergency situations are required. Medications must be administered and documented in line with hospital policies, respecting patients' rights. Education plans for patients must be implemented, and their educational needs assessed. Assisting in the development and training of new staff members is expected. Participation in staff meetings and completing departmental training and competencies is necessary. The RN must adapt to changes in the unit and workflow effectively. All patient charge items must be accurately documented and charged. Department resources should be utilized appropriately. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Commitment to safety and well-being is essential for all associates and patients. All associates are required to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment, with exemptions applicable in certain cases.
