Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,300 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Hematology Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Day/Night or Night shifts available; staffing ratios goal 1:4, may be 1:5; weekend coverage variable based on unit needs; floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology units as needed

Highlights:

• Work with a diverse patient population including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other hematologic conditions
• Gain experience with specialized oncology procedures including chemotherapy administration, blood transfusions, and management of oncologic emergencies (tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome)
• Epic electronic charting system used facility-wide
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and social services
• 36-bed unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities and advanced equipment including Alaris pumps and GE telemetry systems
• Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care Med/Surg experience required (must be actively working in the last 12 months)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification preferred
• Hematology Oncology experience preferred but not required for qualified Med/Surg candidates
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line management, and feeding tube care
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference)
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
