Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Hematology Oncology – Ohio
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Days/Nights or Nights only; staffing ratios goal 1:4 (may be 1:5); variable weekend coverage based on unit needs; flexible scheduling; may float to other Med/Surg and Oncology units
Highlights:
- Work with a diverse patient population including lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias, sickle cell disease, and other hematologic conditions
- Gain experience with specialized oncology procedures including chemotherapy administration, blood transfusions, and management of oncologic emergencies (tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome)
- 36-bed unit with average daily census of 31 patients; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, and social services
- Epic EMR system; telemetry monitoring on unit with GE telemetry system and B450 monitors
- Hematology oncology experience preferred but not required; Med/Surg experience required with at least 2 years of acute care experience
- 72-hour orientation provided; ONS certification preferred
Requirements:
- Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- OCN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current acute care Med/Surg experience required (must be actively working in specialty within the last 12 months)
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and starting IVs
- Epic charting experience required
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
- Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership; charge RN acceptable for second reference
