Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,300 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Opportunity – Bone Marrow Transplant / Hematology Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day/Night rotation or Nights available); rotating schedule reviewed every 4-week period based on departmental needs

Highlights:

• Specialty bone marrow transplant unit focusing on oncology and mixed acuity progressive care with medical-surgical patients
• Diverse case mix including autologous, allogeneic, and syngeneic transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
• Patient diagnoses include acute and chronic leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, aplastic anemia, and myelodysplastic syndromes
• Epic electronic health record system; 36-bed unit with 33 average daily census
• 72-hour comprehensive orientation with interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, respiratory services, and social services
• Float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units as needed; one pre-approved time-off period available

Requirements:

• Current and active acute care experience with a minimum of 2 years in medical-surgical and oncology nursing
• Hematology oncology experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience within the last 12 months in the specialty (current/consistent practice required)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification preferred (not required)
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Skills required: telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line care, feeding tube management, and use of rapid response protocols
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
