Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week, every other weekend rotation

Highlights:

• 32-bed general medical inpatient unit caring for a diverse patient population including respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, musculoskeletal conditions, dialysis (hemo and peritoneal), sepsis, and various infections
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Epic charting system with test-out option available
• 26-51 week contract preferred (longer contracts receive priority; 13-week assignments considered case-by-case)
• Magnet-designated, 586-bed tertiary care facility committed to High Reliability Organization culture
• Holiday policy: 1 requested holiday off, 2 federal holidays per year, plus spring and winter non-essential holidays

Requirements:

• Kansas or multistate compact RN license required (no hits allowed)
• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission
• ADN or BSN degree
• Minimum 1 year of acute care medical/surgical experience
• No first-time travelers
• Vaccination requirements: Immunity status or proof of vaccination for Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, TDaP; Influenza vaccine or exemption during flu season; TB documentation
• Flexibility to float to other post-surgical and medical surgical inpatient floors
