Job Title: Travel RN - Med/Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg/Ortho experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg/Ortho experience - BLS certification required Description: This is a travel RN position in a medical/surgical unit. The facility has 34 beds and approximately 50 staff members. The day shift typically consists of 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 patient care technicians. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 3 patient care technicians. Patient ratios are 6:1. The unit is equipped with traction and uses Meditech for electronic medical records. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg/Ortho experience. BLS certification is required, and ACLS certification is preferred. Familiarity with traction, spine precautions, and joint precautions is a plus. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, a team player, and compassionate.
