Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: State RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Traveler experience required - Every other weekend availability - Knowledge of charting systems, preferably Epic Description: The registered nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical surgical unit. The candidate will need to manage a patient ratio of 5. The position requires skills such as accessing and managing ports, non-invasive airway management, wound care, and telemetry monitoring. The registered nurse will also perform tasks related to blood product administration and central line blood draws. Experience in patient assessment and acute care management is essential. The candidate should be knowledgeable about isolation precautions and the management of dysrhythmias. Collaboration with interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy and respiratory services will be expected. Preferred experience includes working in a long-term acute care setting. The registered nurse must demonstrate competency in providing care to patients with a variety of diagnoses and conditions. All certifications must be from recognized organizations, such as AHA or American Red Cross, and be held at the time of application. Candidates should have a clear history with no background hits or DUIs. Work history verification covering the last 7 years is also required.
