Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required License: Active Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with telemetry units - Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Experience with orthopedic and neurologic stroke patients Description: Registered Nurse position in Acute Care Float specialty. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care settings. The role involves floating to various acute care and telemetry units, including behavioral health and respite areas. Nurses are required to work all scheduled shifts, with restrictions on time off during holidays. Weekend shifts are mandatory, with flexible scheduling expectations. Patient ratios will be approximately 1:4-5. All candidates must be proficient in dysrhythmia management. Experience in orthopedic and neurological care is preferred. Telemetry experience is necessary, and a fill-in-the-blank pass/fail test will be administered. Travelers accepted but must not be traveling in pairs. The facility uses an electronic charting system. The patient population is diverse, with a focus on adult care in various specialties. Dysrhythmia management, telemetry, and post-operative care experience are vital for consideration. Floating to different units within the facility will be a part of the role. Candidates should possess strong time management skills to adapt to split shifts as needed. Holiday coverage will be necessary, and candidates should be prepared to work during holidays in line with staffing requirements. This position does not allow for first-time travelers; candidates must have prior travel experience. References are required, with a preference for supervisory references.
