Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Med Surg RN for a travel assignment in Fort Wayne, IN. This role specializes in providing comprehensive nursing care on general medical and surgical units, where a diverse range of chronic illnesses and acute conditions are treated. Key Responsibilities of the Med Surg RN- Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans
- Facilitate inter-professional communication
- Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) for documentation
- Operate equipment such as IV pumps, wound vacs, and feeding tubes
- Manage various medical and surgical procedures including IV therapy and medication drips
- Float to medical units as needed and manage patient ratios of 1:5-6
Requirements of the Med Surg RN- 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience in a similar role
- 1 year of Med Surg experience in a large hospital (450+ beds)
- Current IN License or Compact RN License
- BLS certification through AHA
