Key Responsibilities of the Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)- Continuously monitor patient's cardiovascular status using telemetry or other devices
- Administer prescribed cardiac medications and manage adverse reactions
- Provide post-surgical care and assist in managing post-operative pain
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and medications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement comprehensive care plans
- Respond to emergent situations, providing CPR or defibrillation as needed
- Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent hospital-acquired infections
Requirements of the Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)- Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Minimum of 3 years RN experience, including Med Surg
- Minimum of 1 year travel nursing experience
