Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,467 per week in Belton, MO

Job Title: Medical Surgical Telemetry RN Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ALS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: 48 hours guaranteed preferred. The unit has 27 beds. Staff consists of 1 CNC, 5-6 RNs, and 3 CNAs on day shift. Night shift includes 1 CNC, 5-6 RNs, and 3 CNAs. Patient ratios are 1:5-6. The EMR system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed include general surgery, echo, EKG, colonoscopy, TEE, EEG, and wound vac. Equipment used on the unit includes Welch-Allen vital sign machines and glucometers. Scrub color for RNs is grey, and for CNAs it is navy. Recognition programs include Daisy Award winners and peer-to-peer recognition. The unit is open to block scheduling for travelers. Orientation to unit policies and procedures is provided. There are opportunities for resourcing, precepting, and working with students. A cohesive and accessible provider team is present. Case management and PT/OT/ST are available on the same floor. MDRs are held daily to coordinate patient care.
