Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,467 per week in Kansas City, MO

Unit has 23 beds with patient ratios of 1:4 and 1:5. Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and patient care technicians. Equipment utilized includes traction, fixators, and cooling equipment. Documentation system is Meditech. Scheduling requires 3 twelve-hour shifts and 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period. Contract labor is the first to float to other medical-surgical level care units. Patient experience requirements include bedside shift report and hourly rounding. Unit certifications include Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Procedures performed include post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, trauma patients, and some neuro overflow. NIH certification is helpful. Dress code requires navy scrubs.
