Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,504 per week in Albuquerque, NM

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of recent experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required CPI preferred Must-Have: Nurse to patient ratios of 1:6 Unit accepts first-time travelers Experience with Epic charting No call or floating outside like units 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period Description: Provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients during the night shift. Handle an average of 6 patients per nurse ratio. Participate in rapid response team activation when necessary. Required skills include blood product administration, chest tube management, and colostomy care. Experience with feeding tube care and insulin management is critical. Ability to perform phlebotomy and start/maintain IVs is necessary. Wound care and managing surgical drains will be part of the responsibilities. Support will be available from interdisciplinary team members such as physical therapy and pharmacy. Patients will primarily be adults and geriatrics. The daily census will typically be around 32 patients. Floating to like units may be required based on facility needs.
